Gaza- from Magda  Balbisi- high-level  Belgian delegation visited Zakher Association  ,including  all of  the generalBelgian consul  Gherit  Coxand the Director ofthe Office ofthe Belgian Cooperationin Jerusalem JackLinfen, where thedelegation was received by the Chairperson of  the Board of Directors Mrs, Ina'am Hillis,and the Deputy Chairperson ofthe Board of  Directors Ms.Sabah El Sarraj and Treasurer Hijazi Muhsin.

The visitis the first  for this delegationa decade ago to  Gaza City to look closely at the  activities and programs, "Zakher" servinga wide range of  marginalized women in the border areas eastern o f Gaza City.

The visit also aims  to look at the  second phaseof the project  funded by the Belgian Governmen tthrough the Office of the Belgian Cooperationto  complete theprocessing of Zakher  Feminist  kitchen"sarroud", which  holdsthe title of "put them on a path", which target a number of  women who are most marginalized of  female heads of households, divorced  or who arewidows of post-war.

The delegation visited the branches ofthe Zakher  and  briefed on  the programs and  had  lunch  in Zakher  Feminist  kitchen"sarroud" as  Consu lCox  expressed  his admiration for  the level of  quality  and professionalism that  enjoyed by  womenin the kitchen  and  the family atmosphere  that prevails in  the relations  within  the Association.

The  Consul expressed his happiness and satisfaction with the implementation of the project and the steps that are consistent according to the plans of its goals, first and foremost to empower women economically and to  improve their standard of living, praising the level of performance and transparency in the work

Form her  part,Hillis  informed the guests  on the progress of the Zakher since  its establishment in 2003, and the challenges  she facedat the beginning ofthe work  and  the  successes  achieved in the  areas  in which they operate  which  is one of  the most  marginalized   and   less   fortunatein theservices and  programs  provided to them  and   that is consisten   twith the  needs of  women . They wished from  the  delegation   to Continue  cooperation  t  ocontinue the path of success,  and to target the  largest segment of  womn  and   improve their situation.
